This wedding day felt like the first day of summer. It was full of color, sunshine, laughter, and close friendship. Sara looked like a disney princess – and it was so sweet to watch Joel’s reaction when she walked down the aisle. He obviously adores her.

Joel and Sara’s day began and the house where Sara was raised. When I arrived, the girls were eating brunch, talking, and getting their hair and makeup done. Once Sara’s hair and makeup was done, we headed over to The Wellshire Event Center in southern Denver to get the last touches done. She and Joel opted for a first touch, instead of a first look, so right before the ceremony, they got to step away, hold hands with a door between them and talk and pray.

Mary Keener, an incredible harpist, played “Kiss the Girl” from The Little Mermaid as Sara walked down the aisle with her dad. After they were officially husband and wife, we took some family photos and then snuck off for some bridal party and bride and groom photos.

At the reception, I loved seeing how intentional Sara and Joel were about going from table to table to talk and visit with their guests. They obviously love each of the people there so deeply.
