Wedding days can get a little busy sometimes, and the last thing you want to be worrying about how your day will go. Set yourself up to success by having a great wedding planner who will make sure everyone is on time and that all the decorations are going up the way you want them. Having someone overseeing and delegating all the day-of tasks will ease your stress level and allow you to really be present with your people on your day.
And now, let’s get into a few things that you probably don’t want to worry about on your wedding day!
I already mentioned this, but you don’t want to be running around before getting in your dress making sure the flowers arrived, the cake is here, and that the decorations are going up. You want to be able to enjoy your morning without feeling rushed. Talk with another person and make sure they know exactly how you want something done – with pictures – and sit back and relax while they make the magic happen. You’ll thank yourself later.
The last thing you want is to be passing out or getting light headed! Have a personal attendant keep a water bottle with them. Also ask them to make sure you’re eating throughout the day.
This your and your fiance’s wedding. You do you! If you want ice cream and cookies instead of cake, do it! Make it as unique and YOU as you want to – you won’t
Saying this may seem obvious, but the last think you want is red and irritated skin or to accidentally get burnt. Its best to get this all taken of a few days or a week ahead of time.
You’ll definitely want to break those buddies in! And even if you got them broken in by your wedding day, consider packing an extra comfy pair of shoes for your reception. Many of my brides throw in their Birkenstocks, or even their chacos!
So, now that we’ve talked about what SHOULDN’T be happening on your wedding day, let’s switch gears and talk about what you SHOULD be doing on your wedding day!
If you don’t have a wedding planner, this step is crucial. Make a detailed plan for everything that needs to happen, then instruct a trustworthy person to make it all happen! Then sit back and don’t worry about a thing!
I handed someone my phone on my wedding and when I got it back, I found that they had taken several photos throughout the day. It was such a special thing to find on my phone. I also loved not knowing where my phone was, so then I could fully live in the moment!
This is your wedding day! You don’t have to be apart from your spouse one bit, if you don’t want to! I suggest holding hands during the reception so then you stay together and can rely on each other when one or the other is feeling a bit overwhelmed from the amount of people around you.
This is your wedding day. Hold hands and kiss whenever you want!
