Jacob and Miriam’s wedding day could not have been more perfect. It was the stuff of fairytales – I tell you! We even went to a gorgeous tower for their photos!
The day started with the girls getting their hair done at Salon 107 in Winterset before going to the Covered Bridge Inn to finish getting ready. It was so fun to see the girls all getting ready together and the excitement was contagious!
Once Miriam was ready, we headed to Clark Tower for her first look with Jacob! Their first look was quiet and intimate in the woods due to all the high traffic at the tower. We made sure to get some great pictures at the tower though – believe me! To get to the very top of the tower there’s a ladder. They both really wanted some photos from the top – so up the ladder we went… white dress, heels, and all!
I think my favorite part of their entire day was taking some photos with the car Jacob found for their day. It was an awesome vintage Ford Mustang GT500! I showed that photo to them and Jacob airdropped it to himself on the spot he was so excited!
Jacob and Miriam – thank you for trusting me with your wedding day! It was such an honor to take your photos and I’m so excited for you both as you start the adventure of marriage together!

Abbie's interest in architecture made The Salisbury House in Des Moines the obvious choice for her summer portrait session!
Sam and Abbie's Altoona, IA engagement session at Pine Hollow Stables was a horse lovers dream. We spent the whole evening walking around the pasture and even visited the spot where they got engaged!
