Tanner and Emmaleah couldn’t have chosen a better day to get married in March. When I arrive at Riverside Bible Camp in Story City, I think it was around 60* F. outside!
I followed the sound of laughter downstairs and found the girls all getting ready. Emmaleah has three sisters, and it was so sweet watching them interact. They all gathered for prayer once the finishing touches were done and there weren’t many dry eyes in the room after Emmaleah’s mom had prayed.
The first look Tanner and Emmaleah shared was so special. They’ve known each other their entire lives and have celebrated every new year together with their families. It wasn’t till 2020’s New Year party that they really connected. Anytime someone told Emmaleah, “2020 has been a bad year” She would each say, “2020 has been great! That’s when I found Tanner!”
Their entire wedding day was so chalk full of moments that it’s almost hard to choose my favorite. It was probably when one of the speeches mentioned Emmaleah’s love for chicken jokes – which was followed up by, “Why did the chicken cross the road?” to which Emmaleah announced, “BukAH-use!” *because* 😀 And yes, I just included a chicken joke in post about a wedding.
I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I enjoyed the donuts at their wedding – which was a lot!
