for brides
I arrived at the Bridal Suite and was immediately met by Titan – Lee and Sammy’s sweet dog. The girls were all sitting in the living room talking and Sammy was just sitting down to get her makeup done. They had all had massages that morning, and raved about how relaxing it was.
When it was time, Sammy got her dress on, and the her mom helped her with her jewelry. She walked out into the living room and everyone was in awe of how beautiful she was. The dress fit her perfectly and the day they had been waiting for had finally arrived.
At the same time, the guys were all in one of the cabins getting ready! They had hit a few golf balls that morning and were enjoying their time together. Lee’s dad helped him get ready and then it was time for the first look!
Sammy walked downstairs for a quick first look with her dad before heading out to the gazebo for a first look with Lee. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a groom so excited to see his bride. Lee’s entire face lit up when he saw Sammy, and the tears flowed. It was a chilly day, so we went back inside, and then photographed the bridal party with Honey Creek Resort in the background. We photographed the family pictures, and then it was time for the ceremony!!
The ceremony was so full of joy and there were few dry eyes in the building. Lee and Sammy were finally married, and they couldn’t contain their happiness as they walked back down the aisle before celebrating with their family and bridal party.
We snuck away for some quick “just married” portraits on the golf course before heading back to cocktail hour and their gorgeous reception! The reception space was decorated with candles, roses and greenery, and white chairs and table clothes. First dances were shared, and then Lee and Sammy snuck out for a few last photos at sunset.
Lee + Sammy, getting to know you over the last year has been such a treasure! You’re both so kind, thoughtful, and it’s obvious how deeply you love your people. Photographing your day was an honor, and I cannot wait to see what your future holds.
xoxo, Anna
